Spike |
 Simple and Efficient
are the words which best describe this nifty little water saver.
Fill an empty soft drink bottle with water or really weak fertilizer then
firmly push the spike on over the opening. Shove the spike into the ground
near the base of the plant you need to water. The hollow spike has 4 holes
to allow the water to slowly drain into the soil right at the root zone.
This stops the water from running off the surface to water the weeds at the
edge or just soak in where there are no plants.
Suits 1.25 and 2 litre bottles. Great for newly planted shrubs and trees to
give that extra little deep down water which encourages the roots to grow
down and make the plant a little more drought tolerant. |
