Increase
the water holding capacity of your hanging pots easily by adding some
peat.
The bricks are made of dried and compressed coir fibre, which is
obtained from coconut shells.
When you add one brick to 5 litres of water you will have 7-9 litres of
ready to use peat in about 10 minutes. It is great for conditioning and
aerating the soil. Use it in all types of soil including potting mixes,
flower beds and vegetable gardens. Mix the peat with equal parts of coarse
sand to strike cuttings.
Use as a mulch under plants with shallow surface roots like azaleas and
gardenias to protect them from water loss.
