Your tank can be placed anywhere on your land provided you are prepared to
run a 90mm pipe underground from the downpipe to the tank. The only proviso
is that the top of the tank is lower than the downpipe. This system uses
what is called a "charged pipe".
Because water finds its own level, when rain falls into the gutter (higher
than the tank inlet) that water will push any water already in the pipe
through and into the tank until such time as it finds its own level.
