Older bowls (say 8/10
years older and more) use 4.5 lites and 9 litres. Quite a saving of water
over a year.
A leaking toilet cistern can be extremely wasteful - up to 16,000 litres of
water in a year. And you might not even be aware of it ! To check your
cistern, place a few drops of food colouring in the tank. Without flushing
it, look for colouring in the toilet bowl. If it's getting through, you've
got a leak, and it's time to call a plumber. |
