| To work out how
much paint you will need measure the length of each wall, add these
together and multiply this figure by the height of the ceiling.
Example:
A room measuring 4m x 3m with a 3m ceiling would work out 4 + 4 + 3 + 3 =
14 x 3 = 42sqm. (Remember to subtract the area of doors and
windows.)
Given that one litre of paint will cover between 14-16sqm, or approx.
64sqm to a 4litre tin, for 42 sqm you will need approximately 3 litres of
paint to cover the walls. The ceiling will require just under one litre.
For rough or porous surfaces allow an extra 15% for the first coat.

To find the area of a circle, multiply the radius (half the diameter) by
itself and then multiply the answer by 3.1416.

multiply the width of the corrugated sheet by 1.25 or add 25%. |
