 As mad
as this sounds you should try it. Swish the brush in turps like you normally
would.
Then dunk it in motor oil and swish around
for a while. Each time you lift the brush up you will see the paint coming
out of the bristles and even the ferrule (metal bit which holds the
bristles).
The last step is to rinse in turps again.
Now you can leave the brush to dry or use it immediately.
The explanation we were given is that motor
