Stakes are the go. |
 You
should never be tempted to use star pickets or steel pipe to support trees
or roses or any plant for that matter.
In summer the heat is transmitted down to the roots and in winter the
cold metal lowers the soil temperature. These extremes will stunt the
growth of your plant.
Always use wooden stakes even if you have to replace them every
couple of years. |
