Hose? |
| After a few years some
garden hoses become sticky. The polymers in the hose's outer cover start
to break down. |
| Why, I hear you ask.
Occasionally it is a manufacturing fault but usually the hose has been
exposed to any number of common household chemicals. Hoses are only
designed for water.
The chemicals in fertilizers, pesticides, weed killers, oils,
degreasers and even some car cleaning products will damage the outer
cover of any garden hose. Would you like to extend the life of your
hose? It may seem silly but after you use the hose it should be stored
on a hanging reel to keep it off the ground and given a quick wash down
to remove any chemicals. |
