When your extension cord
isn't used and cared for properly it can soon become a safety hazard and
a nuisance. |
|
Firstly, make sure the cord
can carry the current required by the tool or equipment being used. To
prevent the plugs separating when you need to reach that little bit
further think about buying a safety joiner.
This simple plastic case covers the plugs and locks them in so not
even curious kids can get them apart.
Before you put the cord away wipe it down with a WD40 type product.
This will clean and condition the cord and more importantly expel
moisture from the cord. When rolling up your cord let it loop naturally
in your hand, over your shoulder or forearm. |
