What’s the shortest length of timber I can buy? This is a common question and the answer is 300mm. With an example, we’ll explain why this is so logical and easy as Highway Hardware. Say these is a 4.5 metres length of timber in the rack and you only need 300mm. We will cut it for you and return the 4.2 metres to the rack as a saleable length. But, we could not cut 4.2 metres from the 4.5 metres length because very few people need only 300 mm. We will cut any timber in increments of 300mm provided at least 900mm can be returned to the timber racks.
